Illuminate is a postpartum support group for women with newborn babies through 6 months in age. This short but intense season of mothering can often be a time that feels lonely and shadowed. In our gathering, we hope to shine a light on places of need in your body, soul and spirit in the beautiful, difficult, and tender days of postpartum. With God’s intentional design in mind, we will pursue the goodness that he has embedded for us and discuss topics pertaining to this sacred season. We look forward to marking this transition of new life with celebration and honor! 

This is a drop in group that is ongoing for whenever the season applies and the time is right for you, but you are welcome to make it a regular part of your schedule!

Home Groups are the backbone of Connected Motherhood, intended to facilitate deep connections with your nearby community. They meet in multiple home locations across the twin cities and are best suited for women who have children younger than kindergarten age or about the range of 6 months to 6 years old. This season stands out as one of tremendous formation in both yours and your child’s soul and our goal is to unlock the profound glory and purpose God has hidden in these years. These are the goals we hope to accomplish in gathering:

1) Build your village! We were not meant to mother alone, and in this generation, mothers are more isolated from one another and their families of origin than ever before. So set yourself up with some group fellowship and then pursue the women independently for an even stronger level of connection. We are better together!

2) Learn and grow! We believe that mothering in community is an opportunity to sharpen one another, stay humble with an attitude of openness, and to validate the range of chaotic and beautiful experiences that so many of us have in private with our children. Group leaders will provide time for meaningful discussion around thought provoking questions as well as opportunities for open sharing and prayer support.

You can expect a bimonthly rhythm of meeting in home groups, with some groups alternating meeting with children during the day and without children in the evening. If you are interested in finding a home group near you, please fill out this survey and we will connect you with a home group leader in your area. Please be aware that space is currently quite limited and we cannot guarantee a place for each person who is seeking community at this time. Gather together to be built up with your sisters in Christ as we leave no mama behind! Come and receive the refreshing and empowerment you need to have a healthy spirit, soul and body in your ministry as a mother! This rally will consist of teaching and exhortation from inspiring women in our community that will apply biblical wisdom for your everyday life. Rallies are intended for mothers of all experience ranges as we focus on the unique call of mothering amidst the other roles in our full and diverse lives. We have experienced powerful rallies in the past that have focused on topics such as; the power of forgiveness, breaking off lies, body image freedom, our authority as mothers in the kingdom and many others.
